A focus on Black Tech Entrepreneurs...

Hajj Flemings, a Detroit area entrepreneur, is one of eight African-American tech start-up company founders who will be featured on CNN's "Black in America" series, airing this SundayNov. 13, 2011 at 8 p.m.

The segment titled: "The New Promised Land" chronicles the 9-week odyssey of Flemings and his fellow minority tech start-up entrepreneurs as they live and work in California's Silicon Valley, networking with leaders of some of the largest and most successful tech firms in the nation. Fascinating stuff for me! Why?

Because this type of coverage of African-American entrepreneurs is unprecedented and as an African-American professional in the industry, frankly great to see. I am interested in seeing how they will be portrayed and how they will perform under the bright lights.

Will they impress?

Will they flop?

What will the impact of this major exposure have on the future of their fledgling start-ups?

Disclosure: I got the opportunity to meet Hajj on his recent trip to Boston for Brand Camp U Boston. Hajj struck me as a true professional and connector of people, who is really passionate about tech entrepreneurship. I look forward to seeing how he performs on the big stage.

Make sure you tune in...!
